Rev. Dr. Paul S. Biswas
Paul Biswas served for twenty-five years in several countries in South Asia as evangelist, church planter, pastor, author, mentor, and teacher. During this time he traveled widely as a conference speaker in Asia as well as several European cities. He then came to the U.S. for advanced theological studies.
He has been in Christian ministry for forty-five years including nine years with the North American Mission Board (SBC) as a church planting consultant for outreach to South Asian unreached people groups in New England. Since 2004, Paul has served as a missionary in New England and as the founder and pastor of International Community Church-Boston.
His areas of expertise include: missions and intercultural studies, Christian apologetics, and comparative religions. He has done extensive research focused on perceptions of Christianity held by Muslims with the goal of effective communication of the gospel. He has authored numerous textbooks (all in current use in Bible colleges and seminaries in the U.S. and other countries), including Perceptions of Christianity among South Asian Muslims in America, published in 2019. He has also authored numerous research papers and articles related to Christian-Muslim relationships, interfaith dialogue, and effective cross-cultural communication of the gospel. A number of these are in process of publication.
Dr. Biswas is currently Associate Professor of World Missions and Intercultural Studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Director of the Boston Study Center of Promise Christian University. He also serves as a visiting professor at various Evangelical Seminaries and Institutes in the U.S.A.
He and his wife currently make their home in Boston, Massachusetts.
